This microPrint Swiss precision built automation features 8 Modul units with a 24 station oval track indexer that is Servo driven. The eight print heads are the Modul 110 print heads that are equipped with linear motor control for the horizontal pad carriage (Y axis) and with Servo motor control for the print heads left to right movement (X axis) and you can fully adjust the machines position to the fixtures from the touch screen. This system was built to print on high end Swiss writing instruments (Pens and Mechanical Pencils) that have a hexagon shaped barrel and the first four print heads print on three of those sides and then the pen barrel is rotated in the fixture 180 degrees to then print four more colors on the opposite side. This microPrint automated pad printing system also features automatic pad cleaning and Viscomatic ink Viscosity controls. The touch screen is user friendly with graphic icons that are easy to understand and are not language specific. This automated pad printing system is controlled via a PROFIBUS interface on the Beckhoff PLC, for extremely fast set ups, and all job parameters can be stored in the PLC and quickly recalled for each job.
