Common Applications
- Glass Decoration: Custom drinkware such as tumblers, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and beer steins; decorative household glass items like plates and candle holders; branded perfume bottles and other cosmetic containers.
- Promotional Items: Branded glassware like mugs and cups for corporate giveaways; custom-printed plastic or coated items such as keychains, pens, and USB drives; metal promotional items like water bottles, travel mugs, and tool sets.
- Industrial Applications: Electronics housings, control panels, and switches; automotive components like dashboard panels, knobs, and handles; appliance parts with durable labels or decorative designs; tools and equipment with printed scales, logos, or instructions.
Curing
- Recommended Curing: Curing of the ink systems depends on the temperature, the used hardeners, and the layer thickness. A minimum temperature (see point “hardener”) over a period of 5 to 10 days must be guaranteed to reach maximum resistance. By increasing temperature, the ink film cures more quickly and chemical resistance is reached sooner and higher.
- Series 700-GLH: 5-7 days (at minimum temperature)
- Series 700-HDI: 5-7 days (at minimum temperature)
- Forced Drying: Recommended 20 minutes at 140°C or up to 60 minutes at 80°C
Processing
- Cliché: Compatible with all commercially available clichés
- Drying: Air: Physically fast drying. Oven (Recommended), IR-Dryer, or continuous dryer
- Cleaning: Use Neo-Solv 114
Special Features & Tips
- Dishwasher Resistance: To increase dishwasher resistance, we recommend forced drying at 140°C for 20 minutes.
- Outdoor Resistance: The used binder system allows only limited outdoor resistance.
- Extension of Pot Life: Series 700-GLH: 8 to 12 hours.
- Printing of Toys and Childcare Articles: With the raw materials used, the limits of EN 71-3:2013 are complied with. However, the printed end product must be analyzed for compliance. Responsibility for legal requirements lies with the toymaker. Due to special components like pigments, metallic shades, phosphorescent inks, and highly opaque chromatic inks, some products may not fulfill EN 71-3:2013 standards. Detailed information.
- Swiss Ordinance on Materials and Articles: All materials of the Series 751 are listed in the Swiss Ordinance on Materials and Articles (SR 817.023.21).
